GENERAL FAQ

  • WHAT CAN FAIR-GOERS EXPECT AT FAIR SAINT LOUIS 2020?

Fair Saint Louis is an unforgettable experience underneath America’s tallest monument – the Gateway Arch! The Fair features three days of world-class entertainment headlined by nationally renowned artists on the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Stage. With music that transcends across multiple genres, there’s something for everyone.

A festive Fourth of July celebration for the entire family, Fair Saint Louis also includes the Boeing Air Show, the interactive Purina Festival Zone, delicious food and drink featuring the latest food trends as well as classic fair favorites, and so much more. Each night is capped off by a dazzling fireworks show over the Mississippi River, presented by Edward Jones.

  • IS FAIR SAINT LOUIS FREE?

Yes, Fair Saint Louis is a free event. Thanks to the generous support of our many sponsors and partners and the tireless efforts of hundreds of volunteers, the public can safely enjoy all of the exceptional entertainment we offer as part of America’s Biggest Birthday Party.

  • WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS YEAR'S FAIR?

Fairgoers should check our website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages (@fairsaintlouis) for more updates and announcements leading up to the event. The FairSTL app is also available to download.

  • HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU EXPECT TO ATTEND THE FAIR AT GATEWAY ARCH NATIONAL PARK?

While we can’t speculate about specific attendance numbers given the many factors that can impact them from year to year, we anticipate attendance will be in line with attendance over the past few years, in which we estimated 200,000-300,000 people attended each year.

  • WILL GUESTS BE ABLE TO BRING IN THEIR OWN FOOD AND DRINK?

In keeping with the Fair’s standard, historical practices, fair patrons cannot bring food and beverages inside the designated Fair Saint Louis footprint where entertainment and activities will be staged. One of the great Fair traditions is the variety of food and beverage vendors who travel from all over the country to participate in America’s Biggest Birthday Party. The Fair features traditional favorites by Anheuser-Busch brand beers, as well as wine and cocktails, the sale of which will benefit local 501(c)3 charitable organizations.

The noise will be kept to an acceptable level in keeping with standard Fourth of July celebrations.

ACCESSIBILITY

In continually trying to make Fair Saint Louis more accessible, we encourage you to contact us at ada@fairsaintlouis.org for any of your accessibility-related questions or comments. Additionally, if you have any questions about policies or our services, please reach out to us.

During the Fair, ADA information is available at the Info Booth located at entry gate 1. Check-in at these booths to get your ADA questions answered and learn about our accessibility services. Continue reading below for additional information regarding service animals, effective communication, wheelchair accessibility, and more.

  • SERVICE ANIMALS

People with disabilities and their service dogs or miniature horses that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks on behalf of the individual are welcome at Fair Saint Louis. Animals in Training and pets are not allowed and will be turned away. Due to large-scale animal service fraud, and for the protection of all fairgoers, service animals must be screened immediately upon entry to the Fair. Please contact us at ada@fairsaintlouis.org for the protocol regarding service animals. Please note, any service animal whose task is to provide protection, emotional support, well-being, comfort, or companionship, is not considered a service animal under the ADA and will not be allowed into the Fair.

All service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices and otherwise under the handler’s control. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. All service animals must be housebroken. Care of the service animal is the sole responsibility of the owner, including clean up. Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal.

  • WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY

Wheelchairs and 3- or 4-wheel electric scooters are allowed and are reasonably accommodated. There is a charging station located in the accessible viewing area. The accessible viewing area is to the immediate north of the Front of House, but please consult a map for an exact location. Fair Saint Louis does not provide push services or wheelchair or scooter rentals.

Gateway Arch National Park is a large outdoor venue with some paved areas and some natural terrain. Attendance may require covering large distances over grassy, uneven, and sometimes muddy surfaces. If you have any questions, please contact ada@fairsaintlouis.org.

  • ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Accessible restrooms will be available throughout the Fair and will be located at all restroom banks. Maps will be available in the Info Booths and throughout the Fair to show these locations.

ATMs and many of the concessions booths are fully accessible and located throughout the venue. Due to the topography of the Gateway Arch park grounds, some of the beverage locations are not fully ADA accessible. If assistance is required, please confer with a Fair Saint Louis staff member or volunteer.

We have several first aid locations that are noted on the event map. Professional medical staff can help you with your medical needs at all of these locations.

Fair Saint Louis has a variety of food vendors, all of whom have broad menu options. For those with special dietary needs, please contact us at ada@fairsaintlouis.org for further information.

Fairgoers who are blind or have vision impairments should contact us at ada@fairsaintlouis.org  as soon as possible to discuss reasonable accommodations.

If you have any questions or comments not addressed above, please contact us at ada@fairsaintlouis.org.
