  • WHAT ARE THE FAIR SAINT LOUIS 2021 EVENTS

    Get ready for the 40th Fair Saint Louis, presented by Enterprise, and join us in celebrating the St. Louis region and Independence Day with these special events:

    • Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, sponsored by Edward Jones: A world-class fireworks show over the Mississippi River and framed by the Gateway Arch, happening Sunday, July 4 at approximately 9:40 p.m. This will be the biggest fireworks show Fair Saint Louis has ever produced – you won’t want to miss it!
    • The inaugural Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational, sponsored by Centene Charitable Foundation. This national esports competition will take place live July 2, 3 & 4 from Bally Sports Live! at Ballpark Village.
  • WILL THERE BE CONCERTS UNDER THE ARCH IN 2021?

    Music is and will always be the heart of Fair Saint Louis. We have worked alongside the City of St. Louis over the past year in monitoring the pandemic and government restrictions. Traditional fair activities, including live concerts under the Gateway Arch and food and drink vendors, will return in 2022.

    Performances by local and regional musicians will be part of our yet-to-be-announced, new initiative happening this July – we are excited to share more details with you very soon!

  • ARE FIREWORKS HAPPENING THIS YEAR?

    Yes! We are so excited to bring the magic of Fair Saint Louis fireworks back to the St. Louis Riverfront in 2021 with the Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, sponsored by Edward Jones.

    This breathtaking world-class fireworks show will over the Mississippi River and framed by the Gateway Arch will take place Sunday, July 4 at approximately 9:40 p.m. It will be the biggest fireworks show Fair Saint Louis has ever produced, providing a uniquely St. Louis experience that has been an annual summer tradition for our region for 40 years.

  • IS AMERICA'S BIGGEST BIRTHDAY PARADE HAPPENING THIS YEAR?

    Yes! America’s Biggest Birthday Parade will march through the streets of downtown St. Louis on Saturday, July 3 starting at 10 a.m. The parade team has been hard at work to ensure America’s Birthday Parade is safe for participants and paradegoers. FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR

  • WHEN ARE THE FIREWORKS?

    In celebration of Fair Saint Louis’ 40th anniversary and in recognition of the St. Louis region’s collaborative efforts to overcome the global pandemic, Fair Saint Louis will put on the biggest fireworks show it has ever produced this Fourth of July!

    The Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, sponsored by Edward Jones, will take place Sunday, July 4, 2021, starting at approximately 9:40 p.m.

  • WHERE CAN I WATCH THE FIREWORKS?

    Starting at 9:40 p.m., the fireworks will stream live at KMOV.com and on the KMOV app. The final minutes of the show will also be broadcast live on KMOV Channel 4 at 10 p.m.

    The score will feature patriotic music and current hits, and will broadcast live on iHeart Radio’s local stations 93.7 The Bull, 103.3 KLOU and Z107.7.

    While Fair Saint Louis will not have any vendors or activations on the Gateway Arch National Park grounds, the park grounds are open to the public from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. You can find out more information about the park at www.nps.gov/jeff

    Fair Saint Louis hopes spectators will enjoy the fireworks show wherever they can safely view it, including by streaming live at home with their families or by watching from downtown restaurants and hotels in support of local businesses. Those who intend to watch the fireworks show outdoors should follow current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and, if they have not been vaccinated, wear a mask if they cannot maintain a distance of six feet between themselves and others.

    While Fair Saint Louis will not have any vendors or activations on the Gateway Arch National Park grounds, the park grounds are open to the public from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. You can find out more information about the park at www.nps.gov/jeff

  • WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR?

    The Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular will feature 3,000 shells launched from three barges positioned on the Mississippi River. Spectators will enjoy breathtaking effects such as star blaster, double rings, Niagara Falls scenes and much more. The score will feature patriotic music and current hits, and will broadcast live on iHeart Radio’s local stations 93.7 The Bull, 103.3 KLOU and Z107.7.

    Fair Saint Louis is honored to have City of St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones and her son, Aden, “push the button” to launch the Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF RAIN IS FORECASTED

    The Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular rain date, if necessary, is Saturday, July 3 at approximately 9:40 p.m.

GATEWAY LEGENDS COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL

  • WHAT IS ESPORTS?

    One of the fastest growing sports in the world (and a billion-dollar industry!), esports is a form of fast-paced, organized, competitive gaming. Esports stands for “electronic sports.”

    At Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational, gamers will compete in League of Legends, an action-packed game where teams battle to destroy the enemy base, known as the Nexus.

  • WHAT IS GATEWAY LEGENDS? WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?

    The Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational is a national esports tournament featuring the top collegiate teams. It will take place July 2, 3 & 4 at host site Ballpark Village in downtown St. Louis.

    At the Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational, 16 collegiate esports teams from St. Louis and across the country will compete in League of Legends, an action-packed, team game that is one of the world’s largest esports. The objective of League of Legends is to destroy the enemy base, known as the Nexus.

    The round-robin tournament will take place live from Bally Sports Live! at Ballpark Village for a prize pool of $10,000.

    Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational is the first in-person, collegiate esports tournament of 2021. Nerd Street Gamers will oversee tournament operations.

    The Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational celebrates St. Louis’ tradition of sports, science and innovation and engages a new generation of fairgoers. We are thrilled to help solidify St. Louis as the country’s best in sports and tech, and provide interactive opportunities to support STEM education.

  • HOW CAN I WATCH GATEWAY LEGENDS? DO I NEED TICKETS?

    Gateway Legends will be streamed live via Nerd Street Gamers’ Twitch channel at twitch.tv/nerdstreetlol, and spectators can watch the action unfold live in-person at various locations throughout Ballpark Village.

    In addition to indoor seating, the 40,000-square-foot Together Credit Union Plaza at Ballpark Village will be open for spectators to watch the tournament outdoors on the expansive LED display above the stage. All seating is available on a first come, first served basis and attendance to the events is free.

  • WHAT IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES ARE HAPPENING AT GATEWAY LEGENDS?

    In addition to the live esports games, Gateway Legends will feature events for attendees to immerse themselves into the world of esports with celebrity casters, esports panels and educational sessions for all ages!

    Through a partnership with the Saint Louis Science Center, which launched an esports program in 2020, regional high school students will have the opportunity to take part in the live Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational, contribute to in-game broadcasting and experience STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) at work in esports with help from the Science Center’s Youth Exploring Science (YES) program. The Science Center will also host educational panels with high school and collegiate program leaders to discuss the benefits of school-based esports programs and help participants learn about esports careers and the industry through a professional lens.

    Ballpark Village will provide free musical entertainment during the Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational weekend.   • WHAT ARE THE COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS AT THE TOURNAMENT?

    Gateway Legends will adhere to health and safety guidelines set by the City of St. Louis Health Department, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Ballpark Village. You can learn more about Ballpark Village’s COVID-19 safety measures on their website.

  • WHAT FREE ENTERTAINMENT IS PERFORMING AT GATEWAY LEGENDS?

    Ballpark Village will provide free musical entertainment during the Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational weekend. Local and regional bands and DJs will perform outdoors on the Missouri Lottery Stage in the Together Credit Union Plaza at Ballpark Village:

    Ballpark Village is located at 601 Clark Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63102. On July 2-4, please be aware of America’s Birthday Parade street closures, which may impact your route to Ballpark Village. You can learn more about America’s Birthday Parade at americasbirthdayparade.com.
